Colosso

Colosso Typeface Collection

Step into the world of 'Colosso,' a collection of all-caps display fonts that transform typography into an artistic masterpiece. Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of transfer lettering and vintage printing techniques, this collection is a tribute to the human imperfections inherent in handcrafted printmaking. It embraces the DIY aesthetics reminiscent of old fanzines, echoes the typographic expressions found in mid-century artworks, and channels the rebellious spirit of vintage punk flyers. Immerse yourself in the analogue authentic look of these typefaces – a purposeful departure from the sterile precision of computer-made fonts. Welcome to 'Colosso,' where every character is a bold statement in the art of display font design.

Diverse Textures for Versatile Design
Introducing a curated collection of four distinct typefaces, each crafted to elevate your design projects with a unique blend of texture and style. From sleek and slick to weathered and eroded, these fonts offer a spectrum of visual experiences tailored for different design needs.

Let's dive into the distinctive personalities of each font:

• Colosso Pico – Used vibe with personality
Resembling photocopied fine-print text that's been enlarged, 'Pico' exudes an old-school smooth aesthetic with a used look. Ideal for slightly smaller text sizes, it brings a touch of personality to projects that demand a refined, classic vibe.
• Colosso Deci – Worn with visible imperfections
With an appearance reminiscent of dry transfer lettering, 'Deci' carries an aged charm. Perfect for medium-sized text sizes, it adds a vintage handcrafted aesthetic to projects, embracing imperfections that tell a story.
• Colosso Mega – Rough and gritty with attitude
Channeling the rebellious energy of ink-stamped lettering gone rogue, 'Mega' is designed for big text sizes. Ideal for bold statements and impactful messages, it injects a raw and gritty attitude into your designs.
• Colosso Giga – Eroded, very detailed and over-the-top
'Giga' roars with authenticity, resembling ink-stamped lettering and the detailed chaos of old letterpress wood type prints. Preferably used in big text sizes, it's perfect for attention-grabbing elements where every detail matters.

These fonts are not just characters; they are versatile tools crafted for diverse design experiences. The smoother the font, the smaller the character size it suits, and conversely, the more detailed, the larger the font size should be used. With 'Colosso,' your design toolbox spans from fine-print to banner and poster sizes—a true asset for unleashing creativity.

OpenType – Advanced Contextual Alternates
Unlocking a realm of design possibilities, the 'Colosso' Font Family introduces an innovative OpenType feature – Advanced Contextual Alternates. Within this feature, all four fonts in the collection showcase a dynamic and advanced OpenType capability. Each letter, number, and select punctuation mark boasts 7 alternate glyphs, providing a total of 8 unique variations for every character. Activating the Contextual Alternates feature (calt) in your OpenType-friendly application triggers a captivating cycle through classes of vowels, consonants, numbers, and marks. This results in a delightful interplay of characters, introducing a sense of randomness and infusing an unparalleled authenticity into your design projects. Witness your creations come alive with an organic, ever-changing rhythm, courtesy of this neat feature.

Multilingual Support
The 'Colosso' Font Family boasts an extensive set of diacritics, catering to a wide array of Latin languages. Break language barriers with support for 285 languages, making 'Colosso' your truly global companion in creative expression.
